I’m an experienced trial attorney who specializes in issues that affect children and families. For over a decade, I have worked with the Massachusetts Committee for Public Counsel Services (CPCS) representing children and indigent parents involved in the child welfare system. As a child’s advocate, I ensure that his/her/their best interests are being served, with regard to custody, placement, and education. I also represent families in disputes with school districts in Rhode Island and Massachusetts regarding the educational needs of their children and have worked with New York lawyers in lawsuits against school districts in that state. I mentor other attorneys regarding education law issues through CPCS’s “Edlaw Project,” whose mission is to ensure that children with disabilities or from low-income families have access to a quality education.
I also maintain an appellate law practice, representing appellants in family law and mental health appeals in Massachusetts, and custody matters in Rhode Island. I also have litigated appeals involving complex commercial matters, while employed at firms in New York City.
I have represented people and companies in employment law disputes, business disputes, as well as vicitms of personal injury or negligence.
